Since 1970
DFG, a solid and sustainable project.

Since 1970
David Fernández Grande is a reference in the granite sector and in the business world in general, a man who knew how to create a solid and sustainable project combining risk, opportunity and expertise.
His entrepreneurial character, work capacity, innovative spirit, seriousness and honesty are the legacy he has transmitted to all group companies.
See our quarriesHe started his business career in the timber sector, following his father's example, although in 1970 he decided to leave that business to face the challenge of transporting granite blocks and acquiring a quarry.
The change of direction in his business career was, without a doubt, a success — one of many he would achieve throughout his career.
Over time and with great dedication, David Fernández Grande exported Galician granite to Italy, Japan and Taiwan and, from the growth of the original company, managed to develop and expand his businesses and open new quarries outside Galicia and Spain.
The architect of a true revolution of Galician granite in much of the world, David Fernández Grande's business style lives on in the soul of the group he founded.
David Fernández Grande begins transporting granite blocks and obtains mining rights for his first quarry.
DFG is born and granite exports begin to countries such as Italy, France and Japan. Quarry exports to Madrid also began this year.
Quarry operations begin in Venezuela.
Rande Port is developed for block storage and import-export port operations.
A small project factory is created in Vigo: Pavestone.
Quarry exports to Angola begin.
New Pavestone facilities open in Portugal.
The Portugal factory is expanded with a new slab processing plant.

For DFG this is a commitment that goes beyond legal obligation and responds to a decisive ethical approach in its business policy.
