He started his business career in the timber sector, following his father's example, although in 1970 he decided to leave that business to face the challenge of transporting granite blocks and acquiring a quarry.
The change of direction in his business career was, without a doubt, a success — one of many he would achieve throughout his career.
Over time and with great dedication, David Fernández Grande exported Galician granite to Italy, Japan and Taiwan and, from the growth of the original company, managed to develop and expand his businesses and open new quarries outside Galicia and Spain.
The architect of a true revolution of Galician granite in much of the world, David Fernández Grande's business style lives on in the soul of the group he founded.
